Sending a notice

Send your notice through our contact form, choosing "Something else" as the topic and starting the message with "Copyright notice". Please include:

  1. Your name, organisation (if any) and a way to reach you.
  2. The copyrighted work you are referring to.
  3. Where the material appears, as precisely as possible (URL, channel name or title).
  4. A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent or the law.
  5. A statement that the information is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner.
  6. Your physical or electronic signature.

What happens next

We acknowledge complete notices, review them, and remove or disable access to the material identified where appropriate. Incomplete notices may delay the review, so we may ask you for the missing details.

Counter-notices

If something was removed and you believe that was a mistake, you can send a counter-notice through the same form, explaining why and including your contact details and signature.

Repeat infringement

Accounts that repeatedly infringe the rights of others may be suspended or closed.

Good faith

Please make sure a notice is accurate before sending it. Knowingly false claims can carry legal consequences.
