How to use UHF: add your IPTV playlist step by step
Quick answer: install UHF, add a new playlist, choose Xtream Codes, enter the server, username and password from your UHF IPTV email, and save. Channels, guide and VOD load by themselves within a couple of minutes.
No login yet? UHF IPTV is the subscription prepared for this app, and the free 24-hour trial gives you a login to follow along with.
UHF login: what to enter
UHF has no account of its own to sign in to for watching. The "login" is your IPTV provider's details, entered when you add a playlist: server URL, username and password (Xtream Codes). With UHF IPTV they are in your welcome email and your support chat.
Before you start
You need three things: the UHF app on your device, your UHF IPTV login email (or a free trial login), and a stable internet connection. A wired connection or 5 GHz Wi-Fi gives the best results on a TV.
| Field in UHF | Where to find it | Common mistake |
|---|---|---|
| Server / URL | First line of your login email | Missing http:// or the port number |
| Username | Second line | A space added at the end |
| Password | Third line | Letter O typed instead of zero |
The five steps (every device)
Install UHF
Download the free UHF app from the App Store on Apple TV, iPhone, iPad or Mac.
Open the playlist screen
Launch UHF and choose to add a new playlist or source. On first launch UHF usually offers this straight away.
Choose Xtream Codes
Pick the Xtream Codes (Xtream API) login type rather than M3U.
Enter your UHF IPTV details
Type the server URL, username and password exactly as they appear in your email, then give the playlist a name.
Save and let it load
Save the playlist. UHF downloads channels, guide data and the VOD library, which usually takes one to two minutes the first time.
Menu labels in UHF can change slightly between versions and platforms, for example "Add playlist", "Add source" or a plus button. The login type you want is always Xtream Codes.
UHF IPTV on Apple TV
Apple TV is where UHF feels most at home. Open the App Store on the Apple TV, search for UHF and install it. On first launch, add a playlist and choose Xtream Codes. Typing on the Siri Remote is slow, so use the iPhone keyboard: when a text field is selected, a notification appears on your iPhone and you can type there instead.
Once loaded, open the guide view and set your favourite groups. We cover Apple TV in more depth, including picture settings and frame-rate matching, in UHF on Apple TV.
UHF IPTV on iPhone and iPad
Install UHF from the App Store and add the same Xtream Codes login. On a phone, copying and pasting the details from your email avoids typing errors. If the login is already on your Apple TV, you can use it here too; just remember one device plays at a time.
UHF IPTV on Mac
UHF is also published for Mac on the App Store. Install it, add the playlist the same way and use the Mac as a second screen or for watching while you work. Keyboard and trackpad make setup the quickest of any platform.
Android TV, Google TV and Android phones: no UHF app
The UHF developer publishes the app for Apple devices only, so there is no official UHF on Google Play. That does not lock you out: your UHF IPTV login is a standard Xtream Codes account. On Chromecast with Google TV, Nvidia Shield, Android TV boxes and Android phones, install TiviMate or IPTV Smarters from Google Play, choose Xtream Codes and enter the same three details. Channels, guide and movies are identical. More in UHF and Android.
Firestick and Fire TV: no UHF app
UHF is not published for Fire TV. You have two clean choices: plug an Apple TV into the same TV and use UHF there, or use your UHF IPTV login in another IPTV player that is available on Fire TV. The full walkthrough is in UHF on Firestick.
Is there a UHF APK?
Many people search for a UHF IPTV APK. Because UHF is an Apple-only app, there is no official UHF APK: files offered under that name on download sites are not from the UHF developer. They can be fake, outdated or modified, and they are a common cause of crashes, missing channels and security problems.
On Android devices, use a player from Google Play instead (TiviMate or IPTV Smarters) with your UHF IPTV login. If you want UHF itself on your TV, an Apple TV plugged into the HDMI port is the clean way to get it.
UHF IPTV on a Windows PC
UHF is published for Apple devices only, so a Windows PC is not one of its platforms. You can still watch with your UHF IPTV subscription on Windows: the login is a standard Xtream Codes account, so it also works in Windows IPTV players that support Xtream Codes, or in VLC with the M3U link from your email. Keep UHF on your TV and use the PC player as a second screen.

After the first load: three settings worth a minute
- Hide groups you never watch. With 40,000+ channels, trimming the list to your countries makes UHF much faster to browse.
- Add favourites. Mark the channels you watch daily so they sit at the top.
- Check the guide refresh. Make sure the guide updates automatically. See the EPG guide if anything is blank.
Common UHF IPTV errors and fixes
| What you see | Likely cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Login failed / invalid credentials | Typo in server, username or password | Re-enter by copy and paste, check http:// and port |
| Channels load but will not play | Network or DNS blocking | Restart the router and the app, then message us in the live chat with the channel name |
| Guide is empty | Guide data not refreshed yet | Wait a few minutes, then refresh the guide in UHF |
| Buffering at night only | Busy home or provider network | Use cable or 5 GHz Wi-Fi, lower other traffic, tell us the channel and time in the chat |
| Worked yesterday, not today | Plan or trial expired | Check the end date in your email, or contact us |
UHF app setup FAQ
Should I use Xtream Codes or M3U in UHF?
Xtream Codes. It is three short fields instead of a long link, and it brings the guide, catch-up and VOD in automatically. Use the M3U link only if your device has trouble with the Xtream login.
Why is my UHF guide empty after adding the playlist?
Give it a few minutes on the first load, then refresh the guide in UHF settings. If it is still empty, follow the UHF EPG setup guide.
UHF says the login is invalid. What now?
Check the server address includes http:// and the port if one is given, and that there are no spaces at the end of the username or password. Typing on a TV remote often adds mistakes.
Can I add the same login on several devices?
Yes, you can add it in UHF on as many devices as you own. One device can play at a time on a single plan.
Do I need any paid upgrade inside UHF?
Not to watch UHF IPTV. If the UHF developer offers optional upgrades, those are sold by them and are separate from your subscription.
